Approach to Care

Dr Lai is committed to building strong therapeutic alliances. She strongly believes that excellent psychiatric care is a collaborative process. She prioritises transparency, shared decision-making and clear communication to ensure patients feel fully informed and confident in their treatment plans. By working closely with individuals and, where appropriate, their relatives or carers, she takes the time to understand each person’s unique experiences, personal history and immediate priorities.

During consultations, she provides detailed, comprehensive psychiatric assessments to formulate clear clinical opinions and practical next steps. Treatment is always highly individualised.
